If you are a new business that hasn’t gotten a new member packet, see Ellie.
She has 100 waiting to be given out. We’ve been talking about doing a meet &
greet new members. Ellie is looking to organize small groups according to
business types so they can get together. If you have been a long term chamber
member, please help the new members get acquainted with the chamber.
Tim Slane had the idea to have the chamber pay 50% and have members pay 50%
for name badges. Howard seconded the idea. The question was posed about people
who have already purchased – there will be no reimbursements. Tim explained that
the members will pay $5, and the chamber will pay the remainder. Limited to 3
members per business. Motion passed.
Professional Development Chair –Marlene
It was discussed at executive meeting to have a professional series provided
by Carroll Community College. Marlene wants to know what subjects members would
be interested in. Start thinking about it, and let her know if you have any
ideas. It was also discussed to have guest speakers come into our regular
meetings.
We will have a proposal next month with more information and details.
