BUSINESS CARD EXCHANGE
The Greater Mt. Airy Chamber of Commerce will hold its third Business Card
Exchange at Lorien Assisted Living/LTC Facility on May 8th from 4-7pm. Hosts for
the Business Card Exchange are Paula Wilhelm from Lorien and Carol Blackburn
from Gazette Newspapers.
This will be an excellent opportunity for those who have not been to Lorien to
see their facility.
The door prize will be given by Weekenders coordinator, Donnis Klein, a $100
gift certificate. Bring your business cards to exchange.
PINS/PLAQUES AVAILABLE
Name pins are available to all members for $9. Plaques with "Member of the
Chamber of Commerce" on them are available for $11. Call Debbie Harker
301-831-0223 before April 23rd if you wish to order these. Thank You!
MAY 1st MEETING
Our May meeting will be held on May 1st at 8am at the Mt. Airy Volunteer
Fire House at Watersville Road and Main Street. Please enter the building by the
back door behind the building.
Our guest speaker will be Betsy Day, President of the Community Foundation for
Frederick county.
We plan to discuss the website, promotional changes to our newsletter, our
packet for new members; and future Business Card Exchanges.
We invite all our members and those receiving this newsletter to join us on May
1st as your input is very important to us.
MT. AIRY BREAKFAST
The Carroll County Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a Mt. Airy Breakfast at
the New Windsor Conference Center in New Windsor. It will be on May 27th at 8am.
The cost for breakfast is $12. The cost for breakfast and a booth for your
company is $25.00. Those interested please contact Donnis Klein 301-829-2928 or

OPEN HOUSE
Susquehanna Bank is having their Open House on
April 30th from 5.30-7.30pm. The ribbon cutting ceremony will be by Mayor James
Holt at 6.15pm. Food will be catered by Brick Ridge. All are invited.
