BY-LAWS REVIEW
The By-Laws committee has rewritten the by-laws,
as discussed and announced at the last membership meeting.
The Executive Committee has considered the
amended By-Laws, and recommends that the membership adopt the By-Laws, as
amended. The amended By-Laws will be presented and proposed for adoption
at the membership meeting on Thursday, May 3.
The By-Laws, with amendments highlighted, may be
viewed at www.mtairybusiness.com/amended_bylaws1.pdf. You will need
Acrobat Reader, available for free at www.www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html.
Please review the amended By-Laws before the
meeting. If you have any questions or concerns, please direct them first
to me (tbarkley@finlegal.com) or to Aaron Kahn (akahn@eclipsesecurityinc.com),
since we might be able to answer your question directly and save meeting
time. Regardless of our response to your question or concern, you are
always free to voice it at the membership meeting.
The Chamber By-Laws are the foundation of our
function as the voice of business for the Greater Mt. Airy community.
Please make sure that they accurately embody and effectuate our mission.
